| We only use coach companies that share our vision of what study tours should deliver in terms of quality & reliability.
We do not use "standard" coaches on our tours as we believe they do not offer the required level of comfort for groups travelling abroad. The minimum standard of vehicles we use are full executive 49-seater coaches.
We can also source midi-coaches for smaller groups.
Your coach will have the following on-board facilities:
- continental safety door* on non-UK based tours
* Not on midi-coaches
We strive to ensure that your coach will be in full working order when it arrives to pick up your group. As part of this process, we ask all our group leaders to make a quick check of the vehicle before departure to confirm that all on-board facilities are in working order.
Our regular providers are required to undergo an STF audit & inspection visit by Galina's Coaching Manager. They must have suitable public liability insurance & operating licences. All drivers used by Galina are DBS/CRB-checked by their employers.
Your coach & driver details are sent out to you a few days prior to departure & list all the coach facilities for your peace of mind. Your coach will pick you up at your school / college gates (unless otherwise requested) & remain with your group until you return.

Drivers' Hours
Our itineraries have been developed to ensure that they comply with current legislation relating to drivers' hours.
Overnight Travel
As part of our safety management system, it is company policy not to include overnight coach travel in any Galina itinerary. In our opinion, this practice carries its own inherent risks which are best avoided.
