Coastal Study: Etretat Geography School trips

Our Geography school trips to Etretat focus on coastal processes & landforms. Students investigate the effects of weather & erosion on the coastline, describing the changes that have taken place as well as how & why they have happened. There will also be opportunities for mapwork & developing field sketching skills.
We can tailor your visit to cover your students' specific learning objectives.  Please ask to speak to one of our Geography Consultants to discuss your requirements. You can also combine this study with a tour to Normandy (D-Day Landings) to provide a History element should you want to offer a broader Humanities tour to your students. Please discuss this with one of our Tour Administrators.

Our Guides

We believe a study tour is an educational experience best delivered by people with a knowledge and understanding of the educational system & culture. You can discuss learning aims & objectives with your guide so that the tour meets your requirements.

  • Our Geography guides are former teachers, excellent communicators & have examining experience.
  • They have organised tours themselves so understand the demands placed on accompanying staff.
  • They have an enthusiasm for imparting knowledge & ideas & engaging with young minds.

Kath Murray, BSc, PGCE

Kath has travelled extensively in Europe & has led numerous field trips within the UK for GCSE Geography groups. She is also a Subject Specialist Consultant for Galina & is currently helping to develop our range of UK tours.

“Kath is an excellent tour guide, she met our objectives perfectly, she had clearly done her research on our A-Level specification beforehand. Her subject knowledge & enthusiasm was fantastic. She phoned me before the trip to introduce herself & talk through her plans, which was very reassuring. She was a fantastic asset to the trip”
