Welcome to Galina's Religious Studies Tours

Galina offer three study tours which are directly relevant to the Religious Studies GCSE specifications listed opposite.  The average duration of each tour is three to four days travelling via Dover but, depending on your location, you may be able to do a shorter tour or travel via Hull instead.

New Religious Studies in London

We now offer a 1, 2 or 3-day multi-faith tour to London. All the main World religions are covered with the opportunity to visit a variety of Christian places of worship. Suitable for both KS3 & GCSE groups with study packs provided for each visit chosen on your itinerary.

New Religious Studies in Paris, Rouen & Lisieux

This 4-day tour focuses on a study of Faith through Pilgrimage, Worship, Miracles & Suffering. The tour content covers study units from the 7 GCSE specifications currently available. The study pack has been designed by a GCSE examiner who has included a variety of tasks, accessible to students of all abilities

Take a tour of the Lisieux Basilica

Religion, War & Ethics in Ypres

This tour visits the First World War battlefields of Flanders to consider the following topics:  war, peace & conflict, prejudice & discrimination, euthanasia, the sanctity of life, pacifism, the "Just War" theory, conscientious objection.  There is also the opportunity on this tour to examine places of worship.

Anne Frank & the Dutch Holocaust

This tour examines racism in the context of the Holocaust and the Second World War.  It explores how Nazi Racial Theory led first to discrimination & the denial of human rights & ultimately to persecution & genocide. The fate of Anne Frank & her family provides a human dimension to events as they unfolded.

RS Guides

Both the Belgian & Dutch tours are accompanied by specialist Galina tour guides with teaching experience at both KS3 & GCSE.

Comprehensive study packs containing maps, contextual notes & on-site activities are included in the price of your study tour.  The pack also includes pre-tour & post-tour tasks.
