School Trips to Cologne & Phantasialand

Our Cologne & Phantasialand School Trips provide students with the opportunity to practice their German language skills in real-life situations. We can supply study tasks which address writing, speaking & reading skills for both Key Stage 3 & GCSE students. This tour can also be booked as a Christmas Market experience, travelling in late November to mid-December. A three day tour is suitable for schools based in the south of England. A tour via Hull-Rotterdam is available for schools in the north of England. Five day tours are also possible offering the opportunity to visit Cologne Zoo, Düsseldorf or take an excursion to the scenic Rhine Valley.




Day One:  Outward Travel

Museums & venues



  • School pick-up (06.00 hours approx) & travel to overnight accommodation via Dover or Folkestone
  • Half-board accommodation for two nights

Day Two:  Cologne


Your group will visit the Alter Markt, the Neumarkt and Rudolfplatz areas of the city.

Visits to the following provide opportunities for students to practice their German. Choose from:
  • Cologne's gothic cathedral
  • Cologne Chocolate museum*
  • St Martin's Church
  • Rhine river cruise* (Easter to October only)

Visit to the Altstadt (Old Town)

Day Three:  Phantasialand


Depart from hotel after breakfast to travel to Phantasialand (Closed in February - winter opening applies from November to January - please check before booking)

Spend the day exploring the 6 themed areas:

  • Fantasy
  • Mystery
  • Berlin
  • Mexico
  • Deep in Africa
  • China Town

Day Four: Return

  • Depart after breakfast
  • Travel to Calais for Channel crossing
  • Optional hypermarket visit (time permitting, closed Sunday's & Bank Holidays)

Galina has over 25 years' experience in organising school trips for school & youth groups to Paris. We therefore offer the services of your own Tour Administrator who will guide you through each step of the process, from your initial enquiry to your departure & return.
