School Trips to Cologne

Our Cologne School Trips provide your students with opportunities to practise their spoken German as well as their listening and reading skills in real-life situations. We can supply study tasks which address writing, speaking & reading skills for students studying up to GCSE level.

Day One:  Outward Travel

Museums & venues

  

  • School pick-up (06.00 hours approx) & travel to overnight accommodation via Dover or Folkestone
  • Half-board accommodation for two nights
 
 

Day Two:  Cologne 

 

Your group will visit the Alter Markt, the Neumarkt and Rudolfplatz areas of the city. Visits to the following provide opportunities for students to practice their German. Choose from:

  • Cologne's gothic cathedral
  • Chocolate museum*
  • St Martin's Church
  • Rhine river cruise* (Easter to October only)

Visit to the Altstadt (Old Town)

Day Three:  Return

 
  • Return to school via Calais
  • Hypermarket (time allowing)
  • Evening Drop-off

  • This itinerary is suggested only to assist with your tour planning
  • A three day itinerary is suitable for schools based in the south of England
  • A tour via Hull-Rotterdam is available for schools in the north of England
  • Four & five day tours are also available allowing your group to visit Cologne Zoo, Düsseldorf or the scenic Rhine Valley
  • This itinerary is not designed to be prescriptive & we are happy to tailor it to suit your particular requirements

Galina has over 25 years' experience in organising school trips for school & youth groups to Paris. We therefore offer the services of your own Tour Administrator who will guide you through each step of the process, from your initial enquiry to your departure & return. 

 

We have developed a number of useful documents that will help you when preparing to launch your tour & with your visit application via the Senior Management or your EVC.

 

Risk assessment advice is available &, once booked, we can provide a helpful guide that can be used to formulate your own tailored risk assessment.
