Pilgrimage & Worship: Religious Studies School Trips to Rouen, Lisieux & Paris (4 Days)

Our Religious Studies school trips to Rouen, Lisieux & Paris will take your students to visit sites of religious significance where they can investigate the role places of worship have and how they affect the style of public worship that takes place within them.  The tour will also consider the importance of pilgrimage within the Christian tradition with visits to the Basilica of Ste Thérèse in Lisieux & Rue du Bac in Paris.  Whilst in Paris a visit to Père Lachaise Cemetery offers the opportunity to reflect upon Christian attitudes to Memorialisation and the Afterlife.

The GCSE exam boards’ specifications require students to ‘develop their knowledge and understanding of religious beliefs, teachings and sources of wisdom and authority’ and ‘reflect on and develop their own values, belief, meaning, purpose, truth and their influence on human life’; on a Galina Study Tour all our visits and study materials are designed to ensure that your students not only gain knowledge and understanding of religion and beliefs (AO1) but are also encouraged to evaluate their significance and influence on the world we live in (AO2).

We also offer a shorter three day tour to Rouen and Lisieux or a four day tour via Portsmouth-St Malo and Calais-Dover including a visit to the iconic Mont Saint-Michel with an option to visit the abbey.
