Galina are proud to be the sponsors of the ‘My Best School Trip Award’ at this year’s prestigious School Travel Awards, held in November at the Kensington Garden Hotel in London arranged by School Travel Organiser Magazine. The award recognises the hard work that teachers put into planning school trips & into making them as exciting & engaging as possible for their students. Everyone remembers a good school trip no matter how long ago it was! Last year’s winner was Kirk Ella St Andrew's Community Primary School from Yorkshire, who won the award for their trip to Eskdale Youth Hostel. We are looking forward to seeing who gets nominated this year. Nominations are open in April & run to July. Any school that enters has to get their class to write reviews of a school trip or educational visit they had been on recently. The entry needs to explain what the students did, what they learnt and what they enjoyed about the experience. Teachers then pick three pieces of writing from their class and send them into School Travel Organiser, along with a short narrative of their own, which explains what the objectives of the trip were and what was achieved. A panel of experts from the school travel industry review the entries and meet to discuss and agree on a winner, based on the quality and relevance of the trip and how it met its objectives. Why not get involved & gain recognition nationally for excellence in outdoor learning? |
